Garland Gives is a city-wide community service project that was founded by Leadership Garland Class XXXII in 2012. It has since become an annual tradition of the Leadership program. Class members select tasks suggested by local non-profit organizations and spend a Saturday working on a project. Projects or tasks range from simple maintenance chores, such as repairing sidewalks or painting activity rooms, to collecting donations. The Garland Gives community service project demonstrates the central role of Garland’s leaders in building community vitality at every level.
